@cmscalzo here’s my comment to your questions 1. I was introduced to Racket by following an online course by prof. Kiczales. The IDE was much easier to me than hacking away in CLISP (which I have also learned) and I like the “world Programming” style in making programs, so I decided go for Racket. 2. I follow a lot of tech podcasts so I been exposed to several functional style languages. I have my eyes on Haskell but I am focusing on Racket still. 3. The IDE and the whole eco system around Racket fits my way of programming.
