Hello everyone !

I am having troubles with my drracket installation.

It looks like some encoding problem.. ? I installed DrRacket twice: through the Archlinux user repository, and via the linux installation script, but it’s the same issue for both.

Quite strange. @robby may have an idea of what’s going on?

Maybe you don’t have Unicode fonts installed?

I am not sure but it does look like a fonts problem somehow.

I agree that’s what it looks like.. but I do have some Unicode fonts installed. I am going to try fiddling with my fonts, thinking it might be some configuration problem on my system which somehow finally got exposed through DrRacket.

It weird the menus are rendering but editors aren’t

It’s because it’s a different font I guess

Might be able to a temporary fix by changing the DrRacket font settings?

I did try that, from the settings menu, but it didn’t solve the issue. The font that is being changed is only the one used to write code.

I was finally able to solve my problem, which was indeed about fonts. Somehow, the only culprit seem to be the Type1 font (which I had installed though the adobe-base–14-fonts aur package)… Without it installed, DrRacket works fine. With it, I get this problem.
