I lost the helpful arrow in the upper right hand corner of Dr Racket 8.1. It just up and disappeared one day on multiple Mac platforms (including x86 and M1). Anybody know how to get it back (besides upgrading to 8.2, which does indeed fix the problem)? Is there a View -> Show Helpful Arrow menu I’m too blind to see?

Gah spoke too soon. I have another Mac M1 laptop, was missing the helpful arrow in the upper right corner, installed 8.2, and the damn arrow is still missing in 8.2. Help?

I don’t know if “background expansion” also needs to be enabled for those bottom 2 to work.

Huh, I don’t remember ever changing those, and they were on, but I turned them off, saved, turned them back on again, and my arrow is back. Thanks!

Must be a bug. If you can make it happen on command it may be easy to fix …..

I’ll keep and eye on it. The arrow stayed around all day todday :)
