I worked on this — using the “color lexer” and indentation supplied by a lang — about a year ago. I learned a lot, but there were missing pieces, I got burned out, and set it aside.

As it happens I’m looking at this again, the last week or so.

Some missing pieces are getting filled in on the Racket and Dr Racket side, motivated by rhombus.

If you ask me right now, it’s still a bit of a frustrating mess — but if you ask me yesterday or tomorrow, it’s progressing fairly well. :slightly_smiling_face:

But thanks for working on it. It’s too bad LSP can’t do syntax highlighting so it could be solved once for everyone.

If you would like help, I might enjoy poking at it too.

That said, my knowledge of Racket is… a work in progress. And I would need to learn elisp. So, no worries if you think I’d just get in the way.
