Hi, fellow Racketeers! I’m Alex, a software engineer from the UK. I spotted this group on the mailing list and thought I’d stop by to say hello. o/

@apg I think registering it as a non profit was on the to-do list as of last year’s RacketCon

@notjack Thank you, and thanks for the pro-tip RE: the IRC bridge!

@notjack interesting. I know that takes a long time to do…

@apg There is not currently a non-profit associated with Racket

we’re a member project of the Software Freedom Conservancy, but that’s for accepting donations (and isn’t totally set up yet)

The copyright for the Racket source code is mostly held by it’s contributors along with PLT Design Inc (which is not a non-profit)

Thanks @samth

I don’t think it’s actually a problem, just harder to document it. :)

Hi all! I’m Dave, startup founder currently living in Connecticut USA. Started using Racket a few months ago when we founded the company, very glad we did.

Who’s maintainer for the scribble latex backend?

I have lots of questions regarding how to use it well. I’m not sure how to issue top-level commands, or to give a \command[optional arguments before]{mandatory}{ones}

or how best to use \subtitle and \title before \maketitle, or what is the correct way of passing an argument to the \documentclass

Welcome @dstorrs, glad to hear Racket’s working well for your startup!

@fahree Unsure, but that seems like a good question to ask the mailing list.

Thanks!
