@greg you are right about and/c
: https://github.com/racket/racket/blob/master/racket/collects/racket/contract/private/and.rkt#L182-L246

What I’ve been doing lately is making a web site: $ curl -I -s <https://deals.extramaze.com> \| grep Server
Server: Racket

@greg how’s the experience been this time around?

It’s been good so far. (It’s really my first time around.)

huh, I could have sworn you’d made sites with racket before

then again my memory is severely inadequate

Just static with Frog or Scribble

ahhhh

I have also doinked around with ClojureScript

This site is 0% XxxScript (except for what Stripe supplies). It’s all Racket plus Postgres on AWS.

nice

what’re you using to talk to postgres with racket? just the db
library or any extra stuff?

The db
library, plus most queries written as sexprs using Ryan’s sql
lib

fantastic

how’s using that sql
package been?

It’s been better than embedding text string literals, even within at-expr blocks. :slightly_smiling_face:

Does anyone know of projects and Racket related to new cryptocurrencies?

there’s none that I know of

Thanks.

@samth: Is there a minimum docker version needed to run your testing setup?

@stamourv yes, and it’s fairly recent

I have 1.9.1 (latest from homebrew), and I get strange errors.

is that docker-compose version or docker engine version?

@notjack: Ah, ok.

Docker engine, lemme check docker-compose.

are you installing onto a mac?

1.5.2

Yes, I’m running this on my laptop, which is a mac.

That should be possible, right?

my advice is: don’t install from homebrew, only install it with the official Docker for Mac installer

it should be possible but generally Docker for Mac is simpler and auto-updates

I’m not sure the homebrew formula is officially maintained by docker

Ah, ok, will try that.

@notjack: Got a newer version, now things seem to be happening. Thanks!

@stamourv :+1:

huh, so that’s where the whale came from

I hope that designer got paid well and got a lot more work from docker for all the other logs and stuff they needed

reminds me that Typed Racket could use a logo

maybe also syntax/parse

@ben: Re TR, maybe that’s too easy, but what about a Tau replacing the Lambda in the Racket logo?

I’ve seen that before — I think Typed Clojure did something like that

Wow, that’s awesome. faved designer

$430 is a great price for that quality of work: https://99designs.com/profiles/asammanis/services/284

@greg I think this is by the same designer http://rickylinn.com/albums/arizona-iced-tea/
