I need help with phases. I’m working on the “Phases” subsection in eval-model.scrbl. It contains a lot of information but does not include a succinct explanation of the purpose of phases. I’ve looked through the documentation and found copious details about phases, but still no succinct justification for them. Can anyone point me at a high-level explanation of the need for phases?
