Can someone please show me an example of setting up a mouse motion event to a canvas? I see the high level docs but but not a specific syntax application of the registering methodology. Thanks!

@steveh2009 I vaguely remember seeing an example at StackOverflow. I’ll see if I can find it.

And here is an example with mouse-events (but it is illustrating something else):

Yet another great blog post from Alex H.: https://alex-hhh.github.io/2019/05/timezone-visualization.html

So the key is to use (define/override (on-event…) when creating the canvas% object. Great, thanks again!

Yep, that’s the key.

Is there some way to type the “◊” char when working with pollen

keyboard combo or something’

my heroine

tyvm

have you done much with pollen?

Nope!

ok

I’ve only tinkered with it. But MB is in this slack and sometimes answers questions (and some other people have used it more than I have).

cool

Matthew’s whole thing is really neat. I love that he, as a non-programmer (IIRC), made this cool thing with Racket

just checked on Hackett; do you have a plan for the effects system there?

I think he sells himself considerably short by calling himself a non-programmer. But yes, Pollen is very neat.

Re: Hackett, not really, and also Hackett has been on the back burner for a while because I just haven’t had the time to work on it.

yeah i figured
