@drdeeglaze found your gists! I was thinking of a fun holiday competition would be to make other standard animals? What do you think? Something to put in Racket-news @pocmatos ?

What would you like me to feature in Racket News? Sorry, I didn’t quite get it from the thread.

@pocmatos I had the good luck to meet a young racketeer (10yo) and they were interested in pictures - they had constructed a ascii pic of a waffle because the didn’t know they could bring in pictures. I went to find more only to realise there were only a couple in pict and none in htdp2e/images . I thought of making my own - but why not have a summer competition?

@spdegabrielle ah, yes, of course. It makes sense.

Do you want to draft a rules page, regulations to be featured in Racket News?

you totally can do it via #lang racket + require. It’s just a convenience.

There are two main use cases for units: recursive modules, and parameterized modules. In most cases, set! is better for the first and functions for the second. But if you have a complex interface and need those things then it can in rare cases be worth it.

I found that I can define an objc class named RacketMenuItem (with a prefix “Racket”, another example is RacketBox), but I cannot instantiate it. Is it because the name clashes with the one defined in Racket GUI library?
