Should we ask the chairs to find an expert?

samth

is there an expert we can suggest on the PC or ERC? https://icfp18.sigplan.org/track/icfp-2018-papers

The closest I see are Suresh Jagannathan and Marco Gaboardi—neither perfect…

samth

yeah they might be the people who reviewed it already

So should we ask for an expert?

samth

you should note in your mail that matthew (the PC chair) is conflicted with the paper, and so you should maybe contact someone else

Right, that’s another thing to perhaps ask the chairs to possibly tell the jury to disregard. (Rajan and I only skimmed the reviews)

Boo indeed.

Yes, we should ask for an expert. Shouldn’t it be embarrassing for a conference such as ICFP to not be able to find “expert” reviewers for papers which are in scope?

Also, I love the way reviewer A thinks our evaluation is bad, and reviewer B thinks it’s good. And so on.

Oops. I don’t think it will make an important difference.
