I came here to ask if we were going to try for ICFP, and I see that Ken certainly thinks so!

What’s the intent wrt changes to the paper to hope to make it more acceptable to reviewers? I think we should be considerably more forceful (and clear) about our contributions. Our response had a lot of text that could have been in the paper itself, and might have helped if it had been there to start with, instead of post facto.

ICFP has more space and that’s one thing we should use it for

Note: I’ve got another paper deadline of March 1. And a huge amount of stuff to do before March 5th. Whatever I need to do on this paper, I would really like to do asap. And I my daughter is in a play on the evening of the 1rst, so I won’t be able to do last minute stuff either.

I think adding text from the response to the paper would be a good thing to do
