I love the MetaPicture of the day idea, please make more, and put it on some wiki! :slightly_smiling_face:

@soegaard2

(That might very well convince me to use MetaPict instead of tikz  )

Just in case you didn’t notice, the build fails on the pkg server: https://pkg-build.racket-lang.org/server/built/fail/metapict.txt

Also, why is the default background color beige? Shouldn’t it be white, or transparent?

Thanks for the hint. I’ll take a look.

you should also update your snippet above to use (require metapict)
so others can easily try it

I am cut and pasting directly from Emacs. The background color in Emacs happens to be non-white. The picts have no background color (or depending on view, it is transparent).

ah, excellent!

That looks really cool, I must give it (another) shot

The nodes and edges are new, so there is no documentation on them yet. There are lots of examples in test-nodes.rkt. Just ask here if you run into anything odd.

Sure thing. I’ll give it a shot as soon as you fix the fail build

(not much time currently, but I’d like to help more, I’m sure this will come in handy)

The build log on the server is two days old, so I think it is fixed already. Or maybe I need to add an explicit dependency?

Take a look at raco setup --fix-pkg-deps
maybe

also --check-pgk-deps

Thanks for the tip.

Great tip. More than one packages was missing.

Another thing: for legal reasons, I can’t send commits to your repo unless there’s a open-enough license, like MIT. I’m not saying I will though

(I’m mentioning MIT since your flmatrix repo is using it)

Thanks for the reminder. I’ll add one.

@samdphillips I’m counting that as an entry from @soegaard2

I forgot we had an announce list!

Below are links to gmane mirrors. But they time out for me.

I thought the announce list was on Google groups too?

maybe it’s just old links? Here’s where I started from: https://lists.racket-lang.org/
