I didn’t get the slide in this lecture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LN0qG-i1iT0&t=35m38s Matthew Flatt says he spent a year writing documentation and that was not appreciated by the department. The slide seems to show a histogram whose classes seem to be text, people, gears, and maybe the face of a professor, … I didn’t get it. It seems funny, so I’d love to enjoy that one. Please educate me! :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh, you’re saying the greatest bar is actually publication? I took that to mean documentation, not exactly publication. So he’s also saying that system building is very small — the gear bar. That makes sense. Few actually write real software.
