
@mflatt I was hoping to better understand how OSS communities. The parasocial relationships and club/stadium/etc shorthand’s mentioned briefly in the in the podcast. I’ve got a million ideas but I’m currently groping in the dark!

As @samth mentioned, Racket is extraordinarily lucky to have a core team with the freedom to work on Racket, and the nature of that work means Racket continues to evolve in new and interesting ways. (Ooh there’s an interesting blog post - ‘The Evolution of Racket’)

I want more people to share the fun of Racket, learning and building, and maybe a few more users hanging around a little longer will lead to a few more contributors, and maybe some will do PhDs and design the languages of the future.

Funnily enough, I’m currently doing a PhD and thinking that PL research & development is probably the path for me… :smile:
