I pronounced it Chez, like Pez, while having lunch w/ Andy Keep (Chez maintainer), and he politely corrected me. Then a couple years later, I start learning French. My timing was off :)

I once ate at a restaurant named “Chez Tony”.

So wait, is it pronounced like the French ‘chez’? That’s what I had assumed all this time, but now I’m totally unsure what actually is correct.

Although, if it were pronounced like Pez, and there were also a Dale Scheme, we could combine them to get Chesdale Scheme… https://youtu.be/zcVKr1Wfy6E

(that was a genuine ad on New Zealand TV back in the day - it was a call back to a popular campaign from much earlier years)

Chez, like a french cafe, b/c the REPL is supposed to be like a waiter to whom you make a request and who then returns with your order

You can ask it for a new-cafe, even
