Anyone participating in Racketfest: how do you upload the video? What resolution & quality of the video do you have?

I used 3840x2160. I only have slides (no actual video), so the size wasn’t that big.

Jesse then uploads to YouTube, and they convert to the usual YouTube formats.

@jesse697 ^

Well, I mean, with the default option, my video’s file size would be 2.4GB. I can upload it to Dropbox, but will it cause inconvenience to Jesse?

At 720p and medium quality, the file size decreases to 1GB

Perhaps this is better?

could you upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive or WeTransfer or something like that, then send me a link

giant file is ok

OK, thanks! :slightly_smiling_face:

My 10min video is 25MB :sweat_smile:

How do you get to 2.4GB?

@laurent.orseau 25MB. 1 fps? :wink:

We can try doing a jumbo upload, but if you can easily get it under 1 GB, that would be good. Sounds like you recorded MaxHD:tm: somehow

with some smart encoding I bet you could get a presentation video to a small size. It’s basically just audio!

The estimation by iMovie is really bad, apparently, The actual file size is 900MB

works for me!

@soegaard2 what’s wrong with that? :yum:

194MB ~ 10 min

My video is a recording of a relatively constant screen, I guess that’s why it’s so compressible. If sorawee filmed himself running on the street, that could explain the large file size :smile: @soegaard2 A recording of slides in 3840x2160 at 30fps seems just very slightly overkill to me :smile:

True. My first export looked very blurry. Which was very annoying, since my video is on vector graphics. So I decided to up the resolution.

Turns out I had mistyped the width the first time, so the blurriness was due to stretching.

Makes more sense

However - in 5–10 years, we probably have 8k screens :wink:

We need to stay relevant!

and maybe vector videos? (that must already exist, right?)

Do you mean, like a Vectrex ?

That said, all 3 of us shared a picture that contains only text. We’re not really heading in the right direction :stuck_out_tongue: (I did try to copy/paste though, but it wouldn’t let me copy…)
