Now if only I actually wanted to use Javascript :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Well, it’s far inferior to Racket, but I’ve been reading Flanagan’s “JavaScript: The Definitive Guide” 7th ed. recently, and ES6 has at least made it tolerable for me :)

Definitive Guide. Ok. 7th ed. Huh?

I was just amused, that he had to update the definitive guide six times :slightly_smiling_face:

Catching up to Scheme :)

There’ll be two reasons for that: 1) JS has changed a boatload over time. 2) Nobody is gonna buy a 3+ year old programming book - gotta update that version number and copyright date to keep the sales going.

I’m in the middle of one that’s 40 years old…

But did you buy recently buy it for new-book prices?
