Oh… just noticed the certificate doesn’t mention this - it’s a Racket Discourse thing :)

Which one?

spdegabrielle

it is not specific to racket. it is a discourse onbording thing.

The Racket logo would imply otherwise :)

…but I understand what you’re saying.

It’s all a bit silly - but I thought it was effective despite the sillyness

Starting Forth

It comes complete with a couple pages of dot matrix printed errata folded up and stuck between the pages in the back.

I wonder if that increases the collector value? (Is there a collector value?)

Old computer books. I think yes.

AbeBooks says it’s $20. I suppose I’ll keep the book and my day job.

there is a #lang forth

seanbunderwood

Though, looks like it’s pretty minimal? For example, from the docs it looms like #lang forth’s : doesn’t include support for meta programming; it just composes words?

I have fond memories of Forth. :slightly_smiling_face:

“Starting Forth” is also online at https://www.forth.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Starting-FORTH.pdf . I don’t know if any newer editions exist.

I found “Thinking Forth”, also by Leo Brodie, very interesting. This was my first book about software design. https://netcologne.dl.sourceforge.net/project/thinking-forth/reprint/rel-1.0/thinking-forth.pdf
