@sorawee the paren shape is not about generating s-exps, it’s about their readability. I expect (read: I’d rather) the new syntax to actually first convert to s-exp before being compiled. Moreover, there are common places where people use square brackets for instance, so that part should be easy. But maybe you have something else in mind?

@rokitna Scribble does something similar, but I think it still normalizes some whitespaces, even in comments
