Can you upgrade your fancyvrb? It seems that that option is from fancyvrb version 2.81 2011/04/06 http://ctan.math.utah.edu/ctan/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/fancyvrb/Changes

Or do you want me to add my fancyvrb.sty to the repo

I think upgrading fancyvrb would involve upgrading ubuntu
