Hi! I’m not actually living in the UK, but in the north of France, so it’s not that hard for me to move to London when needed (it’s about 4 hours in car, 30 minutes in train). But I won’t be able to do that kind of trip everyday, obviously (the train is fast, but extremely expensive). Count me in if there’s a big event, but apart from that, I won’t be able to attend more casual meetings. I’d be glad to organize some kind of Racket conference if we find enough people, though! I couldn’t go to the conference in Berlin cause it was too far away. A conference in London (or even Lille maybe) would be a great way to bring more French / British / Belgian / Spanish / Italian / Austrian / German people to the realm of Racket :slightly_smiling_face:
I guess we need to find a lot of people living in the UK using Racket first, to gather a critical mass.
there are some! I know a guy at deepmind, apparently there is a small group at the turing institute, little-ole-me, and at least one 11yo.:smiley:
I see what you mean about Lille - central with good transport links. (I had to look it up - I’m Australian and my european geography is terrible):+1:
I actually live in Lille, so I’m cheatin’, but yeah, it became a big city because it’s in the middle of a crossing between multiple big European countries. (and right in the industrial boom in the early 20th century)
