In it, she claims that “all the potential horrors ascribed to a future AI are in fact real and present today.” This is the mirror-world warping that turns today’s problems into conspiracy theories, deflecting us from addressing systemic problems by insisting we debate the existence of nonsense.
It’s no wonder everyone I know is anxious about the future. We can’t agree on the present.
